How about these helical piles my brother in Canada had installed for an addition. Manitoba has deep frost.

Those will do well for sure, piles can be great but you hit big rocks where you need it, and .... well you can figure it out, LOL.

A few winters ago they had 8 foot deep frost. Lots of frozen pipes.

I used those under big grain bins. Fourteen under each bin ,six in. dia. And 16 feet long. Similar price to concrete base but will last hundred years.

Steel of some kind. Stainless? Not sure I'll ask
Green is a plastic sleeve that prevents frozen ground from sticking and lifting the pile.
