My latest project at the cabin, wood fired pizza. This is a simple project that I highly recommend to my fellow small cabin owners. Its inexpensive and can be a great resource for those of us off grid. And who doesn't like pizza!

Great job Lakeside. That project is on my list. Have been researching lately so some good ideas there. I’ve been thinking I’m going to go with clay that I have found here while digging but your route might just be easier and faster

Another nicely done video! A pizza oven is definitely on my list but my says I have to build one at home first before the cabin! You make it look easy for sure!

Cool video...I was hoping you where going to hoist it up from the lake on your zip line.
If you spread mortar over the dome and brush with a water filled paint brush it leaves almost a stucco line finish. It will really help smooth things out.

Thanks all
I may tile it or add a finish like you suggest Brettny. Maybe a pizza party when all this chaos is over?

@Ontario Lakeside- I like the video. Makes me want to build a small one for the house. I have a buddy that made one out of a propane tank. It works great in warmer weather but in the cold it has a harder time keeping the heat. We talked about it and he does need to put some clay outside or more bricks on the inside so it keeps the heat better. I think this pic is the first or second time using it.

Hey Justin
I thought about using a tank or small barrel for my pizza oven, I think the metal would make a good heat reflector a some masonry to help keep the heat in, could be a good solution.
