Installed this today just in time for the long weekend at the cabin. It’s designed for a boat but I mounted with threaded flanges and pipe so I can easily take it down when not needed and it takes up almost zero space on the porch.

I use the Weber Baby Q or Q1000, perfect size. I do have a stand one like you see in parks, got from Northern Tool. It mounts on a post too but uses briquettes. Doing the stand like you did does free up space, I like the stand idea.

The baby Q is my workhorse. Many people I know who saw mine went and bought one themselves.

The price was right on this grill, free! I like charcoal but this was just too easy.

Free is a tough price to beat.

I too like charcoal, but its to much work, so I use "gas" too.

Thanks! Sometimes I can’t believe it’s mine.

I have had an old Force 10 propane bbq... it to is intended to be rail mount... for nearly 30 years (oh it hurts to say that! Damn I'm getting old!). It is the old round style, even smaller than the one you have there.... I've rebuilt it a couple of times but it still works great! We have a Pleasure Way campervan and ut is the perfect size to tuck away in the van. Here is a picture of one... not mine as it's in the van.

Old Webber kettle here. I do have one of those stainless steel 'my bbq is bigger than yours' units a neighbor gave me that I drag out for big parties, of which I've had one.

Weber makes a massive one called a "Ranch Kettle" and for a mere $1,400!

It looks great and I like the atmosphere. I also use the Weber series, which works very well.
