26 year old cabin has logs dripping sap

Hello Cabin Folks,
I am coming to the end of my first year of cabin ownership. My logs cabin was built about 26 years ago and is still in OK shape. This year I cleaned the logs and retained them with sikkens. What I am finding is that in several places abound the cabin, sap is dripping out of the logs. It smells good and pine like. Is this normal?

FishHog Member	# Posted: 27 Oct 2019 09:36am Reply Not abnormal. You probably removed a â€œ clotâ€ when you cleaned allowing more to flow. I sure wouldnâ€™t worry about it
