I know I’ve been gone for a long time. Hope you all are doing well and still enjoying your remote cabin life. It’s been a while since I built any cabins, now building saunas, or should I say selling and delivering, my daughters are building them. Nice heated shops and all the tools, right out my back door. No more barge work and living in tents. I sure enjoy your posts.

Great looking saunas. I'm really intrigued by your stoves... they look like a neat design! Your daughters do great work, but looks like they learned from the best.

Thanks. The idea for the stove is to use a round firebox, so expansion does not deform the metal, and also allow for more rock mass to contact the hot stove surface. This also reduces heat loss towards the wall to reduce wall temperature. Stove drawing

I just bought a small parcel of land near my cabin that has a pond in front of it. My kids want me to put a sauna there. I may in fact put it closer to my cabin so I can use it. Is this a dry sauna model?

Owen doesnt visit here as much now that he is so busy with his saunas. But they can be used either wet or dry.The floor is made from tightly spaced cedar boards so the water can drip out (but bugs cant come in.) I have seen them and they are lovely buildings.

Hi Owen. Nice to hear from you. I love the saunas. I think it’s great that you taught your daughters how to use power tools and build.
