Okay, maybe back when Hubby and I got married you could say that but, geesh, now I'm an antique. *s* As my cousin said, "antiques are more valuable". *grin*

So how "old" is the missus?

When my girlfriend and I started dating she was 24 and I was 33. Ten years later that age gap looks a lot smaller, by the time she figures out she better marry me before I get away that gap will seem even smaller

44 this year!

There is a preponderance of "middle aged" folks here...is that telling us something?

One of the most difficult things I have experienced, having moved out of middle age, is the ability to stay on topic in a discussion.

Yup, wisdom and ability
However, pointing and laughing has been fun

Yup, subjects tend to flood the old mind with a plethora of off topic memories (............both of them)

For all you cradle robbers,
My husband was 35 when he married me (age 25). Now turning 64 and 54, we still can't decide who got the better end of this marriage. Except for the current problems with our twenty-one year old daughter (drug addiction, theft), I must say the last couple of years have been the BEST.
Two years ago, after 33 years with the same employer (29 without missing a day), his job was eliminated. Who would think that an RN with national teaching experience would be unable to find a job? He was and still is bitter to a point. I, however, still work for the health system.
Our focus these days are to make it to Saturday. We travel about NE TN and SW VA looking at property or just looking for the region's best burger.
Sorry to go on and go.... But: older is better!

I agree. With age comes wisdom and you become more financially stable, ie just own everything, so no money worries. No way would I want to be younger again. Youth is nice, but I wouldnt trade now for anything. I tell the wife "we have the world by the tail" :D

Scott_T...Instead of 44 years being summarized as "middle-aged"...I'd like to use the term "incredibly experienced" ......um......may not work for all folks though like..uh... GaryO for instance ...he's older...might just have to refer to him as "Yoda"...
