I am looking for portable sauna ideas, but not tents. Does anybody have any ideas? Maybe something that could be put up with panels and disassembled later? I would love to have a permanent sauna near the shore of our lake, but we are not allowed to build anything permanent that close. I would like it to be wood fired. I wonder if a "fish house" that just so happens to have a wood stove could be "stored" near the shore without the neighbors turning us in.

If you have access to an ATV you could build a small sauna on top of a small utility trailer and just tow It down to the water when you want to use It. Keep It small and It should be light enough to move easily. You can also set up a permanent foundation to drop It on as I don’t think there would be any rules against having an empty foundation by the water. I wouldn’t mind doing something similar

Why not build an actual wooden ice house on skids with a wood stove inside and removable benches, etc. so you could use it for either purpose even if you don't plan to go fishing?
Maybe something like this but stretched a little longer to allow for full length benches and a little changing area?

A Fatsco Pet wood stove ought to work well in such a small space. www.fatscostoves.com

Or build one on a floating dock. You could bring it in during the winter. You can also attach a boat motor to it and go touring around the lake. If theres other cabins you can pick up your neighbors.

Hi, we once in our youth made a sauna out of the usual stretch film and sticks, and soared right on the ice, put hot stones, it was fun)

Stretch film! Wow, you mean like industrial saran wrap, right? What an idea. I'll have to think about that.
