I have read the site much over the last year and have to say there is a wealth of info on here. We started our small camp the last weekend in May 2010 and were using it Mid August. As it is far from complete but we had it weather tight and usable. It was a work in progress for us as it all strted on graph paper at home then off to cutting the logs and a friend of mine sawed them for us on a prtable mill. It was a huge project to get completed as far as we did with only having weekends to work at it. I painted the plywood for the winter and am debateing what to do with the outside for this year. There is a small local mill in the area that makes Pine log Siding and we are considering it as an option right now. Annual_Fall_CB_Salmo.jpg

Thanks for the kind words folks.
The camp is actually 16x16 with a 10x16 loft on 30 acres we have right on the Cabot Trail. We have used attic drop down stairs to access the loft so during the day we did not lose space. We have an immaculate kitchen woodstove in it that to me makes the camp more than anything else. The deck is 5' and the over hang was the only request my wife had on the whole project. The biggest decision I have now is the insulation one as I would like to avoid any sweating in it.
Canadian Girl we head to PEI every July for a week. Beautiful province !!!

BC,
What did you finish your OSB floor with? I need treat the floor in the shed before it gets damaged. I can't decide between a polyurethane or just porch/floor paint which is my current direction. I'm looking for durability. My walls will be untreated plywood.

Well its been a busy year and we used the camp very much. Spent last week there with the family and getting ready to have more time at the camp now that spring is approaching so thought I would see what great tips were on here that maybe I could incorporate for us. IMG_3366.JPG
