Hi guys,
We're very curious about learning how to build. We have some minor experience, we built a tiny porch for our cabin, an outhouse, and an elevated platform. We would love to know if there is a way to gain experience building sheds or cabins like with a weekend course or something like that. I know we can learn by building on our own, which we plan to do soon, but I think it would be best to see and experience how pros do it. Would take the time out of reading plans, and manuals. We don't mind offering free help in exchange for the experience. If anyone can recommend please let me know. Thanks.

I hired a professional builder to help me. I was the boss, we did what he said and he explained everything along the way. I learned a lot and could easily do it myself if i had to do it again. Final inspection was signed off with flying colors.
I was basically the general contractor too and I did sub out the foundation and the metal roof.

Rayyy, lived there a long time ago, now in Toronto. Too bad, altough the drive to your neck of the woods is actually closer than to my cabin!
