I need to run a new sewer line at my cabin, about 200'. So there was an ad for 4" schedule 40, 20' sticks, belled at one end, unglued, at a shipyard. Got there, holey smokes, over 300 sticks! All for $50! I took what I could, have to go back with the trailer, maybe more than once.

So I have been looking at what I can build with PVC. A carport, a greenhouse, a fence?

Thanks guys. Round two today, one more to go, a little bigger I think. Had to load this one myself. They're not as light as you would think. It's beer thirty..

Last load. 280 pipes total, over a mile! Crazy. Should make for some interesting projects this summer. Might build a PCV log cabin.

You guys can all have some, just have to come get it.

I'll be you could build a utility or wood shed with them. The walls would out last just about anything.

Holy Moly !

As far as I know some are UV safe and some aren't, so you better check that. If they are ok for being exposed then you can have a lot of projects to do LMAO.

You might want to put an ad up to sell some as well... Cash in hand is always good, so now you got to add up your gas cost too, and at least sell enough to break even... or to finance the projects (glue etc) LOL.

Have Fun in any case and let us know what you come up with...

If they are UV resistant, wonder if you could fill them with AB foam and build a small structure out of them.

I guess they could be painted. Fun thinking about what to use them for. About 2,100 sq. ft. if solid wall. I could use a barn. Horizontal or vertical walls? Yeah foam or concrete with rebar filled?

Do you have a stream or pond uphill on your property? How about using some of the pipe as penstock to feed a small hydroelectric generator?

There is supposed to be a spring uphill from me, not on my property but on remote never used property. Hmm, interesting thought..

I put some pipe for sale online, nothing so far.

Still dreaming about a structure, something like a pole barn. How does this sound: Dig a trench, put pipes in side by side vertically for walls, fill trench with concrete. Fill pipes with something, rebar, cement, foam?

You're probably all on pins and needles wondering about my mile of PVC pipe. I haven't found anything useful for it around my place but I have sold 3,000 feet of it for a buck a foot and am slowly spending that on other cabin stuff.

If you have a forced air furnace you could burry it and in winter you would be able to have any outside make up air preheated to what you’re subsurface temps are. Summer you could pull in fresh cool air.

Thanks AK, no forced air at the cabin except for some occasional nagging.

Still trying to cut down on the pile of pipe. Yesterday a guy called for 100 feet. Shows up with a sawzall and...a Tesla! Cuts the dirty 20 footers into chunks and shoves them in. Guess he couldn't wait for the new Tesla pickup.
