I am going to frame a wall for a carport on top of an old footing. I'm being told that mudsills are now 3x and use 5/8 anchor bolts epoxied in. I already have a bunch of 2x6 pt and 1/2" expanding anchors that need using. Could I stack 2 2x6s and use the 1/2" bolts or go buy new materials?
Also have long 5/8 regular bolts. Cut heads off and epoxy?

Sorry, new materials....3x means 3x
You could cut off the heads of the 5/8" bolts though, as long as they will have enough length imbedded.

Thanks Bo. It's crazy, I have enough lumber stockpiled to build a mansion, lots of 3x6 non pt... Oh well, only 50 bucks. And the 5/8 bolts I have are 10", should do.
