Wanted to say hello and introduce myself.
I have worked in technology for the past 18 years, plan to semi retire in March. Purchased a 17 acre property last year that I want to live on and be off the grid.
Currently I have my camper setup on the property and use solar with gas powered generator. Water is provided by springs while sewer is dumping station I installed on the property.
I am currently building a 20x24 camp for winter living, spring fed for water, holding tank for sewer based on proximate to lake frontage, wood stove for heat and plan to install a 12 volt lighting and pump system. Propane will power the stove and fridge but will be using a woods cooler until I can find a fridge at a price I can afford. Will be wiring 110 for tv, microwave and 12 volt charging which will run off solar. Will be reading up on what others use here for solar.
Look forward to learning and providing to the site. Currently my big find was a non powered ram pump system that will move water 50 feet up in ellivation and fill tanks with three feet of drop and no power.
