Welcome... there are a hand full of us from Virginia on the forum.

Where (generally) is your cabin located? I live in Prince William, but my cabin is in Shenandoah county.

Welcome again.

Always looking for good ideas to improve our cabin so this seemed like an active forum with a wide variety of topics relating to an off-grid cabin.
I had camped in the area (crown land) for 25 years and finally had a chance to buy some acres in 2005. A small trapper cabin was on the property so we added on and since we are 8 miles from the grid we have added solar, microhydro, etc to keep the lights on.
Our priority this year is to upgrade the washroom/shower facilities.
