I put on some old time Christmas music and strung a few lights tonight inside the cabin. I have to say, it's a bit more cozy in here with them lit.
Am contemplating putting up a small spruce too.
Might just do that. Maybe start a new tradition of making popcorn strings for the cabin tree..
Anyone else decorate this year?

We always decorate for Christmas. The first picture was taken a few years ago, but we decorate the same every year. This year we did add a new decoration to the motel part of our place. We hung a Santa suit on a clothesline.

Every year I make paper chains out of construction paper. I drape one on the inside of our front window and another over the doorway between our kitchen and living room. I also like to have snowflakes on the front window. We used to make them ourselves but that became quite tedious (I like LOTS of snowflakes) so I purchased some that self stick to the window and are reusable.

decorate tree with antique fishing lures & birch bark curls fitted together to form a chain. Among other things...

I've got a string of battery LED lights around the door frame inside, a set strung over my deer rack on the wall, and a small foil tree with lights hanging by the table. It adds a nice atmosphere this time of year

We decorate for Christmas by putting a tree up at our cabin... The lights on the tree are LEDs that are inside of green and red shotgun shells.... a nice touch! Haha.

I go into my woods and dig up small pine trees that I think would do better relocated and would be more pleasing to me nearer my cabin.
I have a large pot we bring them into the cabin with. We decorate have our celebration and then bring them outside until spring when we transplant them.

I just love the smell of pine

I've got some of the red ones myself, but they stay up all year!

My wife and I were able to make it to the cabin last weekend. We plan on spending Christmas there again this year and were able to do some decorating so that we didn't have to when we got up at Christmas. We made some home made wreaths to hang by trimming some greenery and wrapping it together. Also made a snowman with some birtch logs. We found led light strands that run off 3 AA batteries. They were perfect for putting up and not worrying about power. We just need a bit of snow when we go back up!

We live here full time and have an 8 year old so yes, we do decorate.

Simple but it always seems to make the place seem warmer.
