You don't see views like that anywhere but in the desert! We've had a little rain the last few days, amazing what some clouds will add in the AM or PM.

Yes it had been cloudy with thunderstorms the night before, quite a light show we had. No rain, just thunder and lightning. We sat and watched it for hours, better than fireworks we both said....

Crazy weather! Seems like we've had more rain since our monsoons ended than we had during. Had the firepit burning some trimmings last night watching the light show. Unfortunately at around 2:30 I was awakened by what sounded like my house exploding, so much for sleep. Price of admission for last nights show. Haha

upndown - what is your elevation? We are at 1000 ft. 20 miles south is sea level.... 50 miles west is 5000 ft!

Home is 1800ft, cabin approx. 70 miles NW is 5000ft.
