Sliced Bread.
Everything ever invented since has been compared to it.

Rush has a valid point. I still vote indoor plumbing but suggest we move "sliced bread" to the top of the list. 👍

There are so many factors that went into my decision to try this living off the grid and all are equally important.Life would not be to comfortable without any one of them.My cell phone,my computer and internet,E-bay and on line purchasing,12 volt technology, honda generators, led lighting, gas refrigeration, propane and all appliances that use it,stove, frig, heater,on demand hot water, steel roofing, insulation, wood stove, electric on demand water pump, chain saw, solar, washing machine,,,,Best of all is that I live just as comfortably as any one else on the grid but 3/4 of my paycheck goes into my pocket for me to spend and not someone else's!

Thank's Gary.I have improved on a few idea's and method's since I made that video.I set my Honda generator up to draw off of a 5 gallon gas can now no need to take the gas cap off everyday and fill the gas tank.I just swap out the empty gas can with a full one.I also got rid of all the fluorescent 12 volt bulbs in my lights and went all to those 201 LED warm white bulbs. My outdoor water supply tank worked great for the first two winters here but these last two winters were much colder freezing my tank up.I am contemplating putting a 250 galloon upright water tank right inside the cabin this year.I got the 120 watt solar panel set up and running.I also built a nice hen house where I have 18 good laying hens now.The johndeere tractor with the front bucket has been an invaluable tool to me.It also really paid to go with the heavy insulation.10" in the floor joists.6" in all walls.14-16" in the attic.Nice and comfy in here in the winter months.

Thanks GaryO. I watched many of rayyy's vids... good stuff! Liked the cabin tour, so much worth mentioning.. very talented artist that rayyy is! I love your work. The old Canadian cookstove, sweet piece, adds something special to the cabin. The bluegrass sounds were enjoyable. Your daughter has an exceptional voice I must say! Jamming right there in the cabin.. what could beat that? Nicely done rayyy.

Birth Control is the greatest invention....without it we would be overrun with people and have no chance of having our private cabins away from everybody...

He-he,Gary O I didn't realize that took you to my entire Youtube video collection of my last 10 years of my life.Yes I like to play the old time bluegrass as well as all other styles of music.I got interested in guitar, banjo and fiddle when I was a kid.Thank's pizza dude.My cabin tour is long over due for an update.Lot's of changes have been made since I filmed that video.Maybe I'll get it done for you all soon.If you all are interested in how my daughter learned to play guitar and sing,I'll tell you the story behind that.Bottom line is how much easier it has been on me living like this. The stress of what bill to pay tomorrow with what money I made today is gone.No rent, morgage, sewer, water, cable, electric.Yah I pay about $1000.00 in taxes a year.I have a propane bill, truck payment, insurance, tractor payment, gas(for generator)internet, cell phone. All very manageable. And it leaves me with money in my pocket.
