Any one here use shredded tires instead of gravel for their septic field? I've been reading up on it.
I life near a recycling plant and I can buy one ton of aggregate for $220. The pieces are about 3/4 inch in size.
Thoughts?

he use of Infiltrator quick 4 chamber in the drain field is a far superior product that the old gravel field. cost of material is about $ 5 a foot. web site for this product ishttps://www.infiltratorsystems.com/products-solutions/chambers. Along with a filter in the septic tank, you should never have any problems with this system.

Use tracked equipment or be prepared for flat tires due to the ground up steel belts.
