Ikea has come out with a cabin/shelter in a box for refugees. Although the price is nice, I don't think anyone would like it's projected three year lifespan. I thought it was interesting nonetheless.

Four 4x4 posts set in/on concrete with a very basic roof over it would prolong its life years.

I always thought that designing and building was part of ownership and the enjoyment that comes with it?

You would have to keep an eye on it since we all have a dozen "keys " to take it apart and haul it away ;)

At that price -- and with the ease of assembly -- it would make a neat place to live while working on one's cabin. Afterward, you could reinforce it and keep it as an extra storage building or sell it.

I've put enough IKEA stuff together to know that there would be parts missing for sure!

Sure looks like the '75 VW Rabbit I once owned, but mine had no sun/moon roof and was colored lemon yellow.
