Hello, wisconsinites. We have family near wausau wi and I was wondering if you could recommend a few areas that are under 1.5 hours away. Would like to get recreational land or something on a lake.

I would say anywhere within 90 miles of Wausau would be appealing. Pretty much most popular north woods locations are near, rhinelander, minocqua, ect. Then to the south you have waupaca chain o lakes area.
I'm in waushara county just south of there and i would say it is an affordable place, lots of lakes.

There's been a 4 acre plot for
Sale just south of Coloma like 2 miles for awhile for like 10k. Any idea how it looks? They had some subpar photos on craigslist. Figured it was close to you Dave.

Gregjman, I just remembered about this post! Lol. I did find that property and photos were deceiving....I had a hard time finding it and I thought it was not as advertised...I just listed a 4 acre piece near there for $16,000
