Took pictures in 2012 between Christmas and New Year's. My helper came along and had a good time with his saucer.

Note windgust blowing snow in rear of snowman making picture.

Fortunately access road is along a ridge so we can get in and out with 2 wheel drive. I avoid the snowy 30 degree driveway slope. Got a surprise snowfall one night and it was a chore to get out!

This is S.E. Ohio on Saturday after an inch and a half of snow is all. Sure isn't like most of your places where you have it A**hole deep. Cheers,

Here are a few pictures from the Shabin. The access road was only partially plowed and this past weekend that section was also snowed in. After completing the installation of the loft floor, we wondered the forest service roads and did some river hiking.

Beautiful pictures of da north land! I heard there is enough ice to walk out to explore the sea caves-first time in 5 years. I would love to do that, but it won't happen this year.

Shabin... great pictures. It sure makes the North Shore look great.

Troll.......I forgot about the sea caves. Yes, it would be a good time to see them. Shoot, in a few more weeks I could go across from the MN shore.

From the Vintage Vault! My mom and dad . . . circa 1973 in front of the family cabin standing on the frozen lake! I think my dad has a Hamms ("From the Land of Sky Blue Waters" . . . )beer in his hand and my mom ever clutching her purse LOL. Such GREAT memories! Fast forward and a pic recently . . . considering NOAA reported -41 up there last week . . I'll be curious to see if our antifreeze in the terlit held up!

Not close to our Cabin, but we ventured out to the Apostle Island Sea Caves on Saturday. Very busy place.

Smawgunner, your waterfall is amazing, and no crowds

Those are great pictures guys.

I went to the cabin this weekend too. I spent a couple hours snowblowing and because 30 lbs. of LP cost me $47, I put up some firewood.

Hi Darenkcbiggar, Nice camp you have. It sure does look cozy. I noticed the boots above the stove. Do you put them up there to dry them? Since you are remote are you using propane for cooking and lights? What do you use for refrigeration?

Our camp is in Ontario. If you want to check out my cabin it is under the title "Our log cabin".
