Does anyone keep one? Just a few words each day at the cabin. I'm thinking of doing this each time I visit. The weather what I have done etc.

I keep a journal for every trip to the cottage. I usually write about the weather, what we accomplished or didn't, who was there and anything else noteworthy. Anytime we have guests I always make them put an entry in the journal before they leave. I especially enjoy reading what the kids have to say.

A cabin we stay sometimes out near Cody WY....a friend of mine owns...has a leather bound journal laying on the coffee table...always a interesting read.....what kind of wildlife--guests saw on their stay....where they went for dinner.....kinda like a primitive FACEbook....

I really wish I had started one at the beginning of construction. It would be interesting to keep track of the progress and how many loads I hauled out there, guests, wildlife encounters etc....I will be starting one shortly...Maybe tomorrow if I can find a notebook today. Making another run out tomorrow to snowmobile another window or two out there. Warming up to a balmy -22°C!

I write entries for each visit. When the burglars stole my $.89 spiral notebook/journal, they tore out the pages with writing and left them for me. Must have been pretty dull reading

Yep...I've been keeping one since we got the place..less than a year. I've been pretty good at keeping up with it. I try to mention 3 things...weather, wildlife and progress. I also try to track data of any signs of trespassing.

I started one from the first day I visited the place. With pictures !!! Photos and entries of every visit..... weather, things discovered, plants planted, projects accomplished. I keep it in the computer and on paper. Its only been three years since the cabin came into my life....... and I love re reading it. I still have a long way to go but ive documented as much as possible. In the winter when I cant be there I love to look at it. and plan for spring !!!

I am not writing kinda guy, but I take lots of pictures - they are my journal.
Funny, the more dirks I happen to have at the moment, the more pictures I seem to take - everything seems prettier...

I've kept a log! Started in '09. Land bought, cleared a spot, cabin building, Those that help, good times, tough times, and projects. I think it'll be great to look back.
