Frozen pipes - Small Cabin Forum

So, nothing broken....yet.. heh, but I have about 3ft of pipes that go from the large water tank to the pump and they were frozen this week.

I know I can get insulation to wrap them, but does that really keep them from freezing, or just from getting colder longer?

Is there anything I can wrap them in that will keep them warm?

Schedule 40 PVC 1", btw,

The rest of the water system is PEX and was not pressurized so I am assuming it will be frozen too when the weather drops.
