Hi folks, been lurking and learning for a bit. Great forum! I have a question concerning dry wells. I plan to build a small cabin in the near future. There are no building codes in effect. I have electric and water on site. The land is quite rocky, and putting in a septic system would be costly and a hassle. The cabin will be used for the foreseeable future for 2 to 4 weeks a year, a week at a time, by two to five people. My thought is to have an outhouse, plus an indoor shower and urinal. I'm wondering would a 55 gallon dry well work for this? Perhaps, two 55's? Has anyone done this? Your insight would be appreciated, thanks!

depends on the surrounding soil if it is porous and lots of it 1 should do it . Put lots of stone around it .
