All depends...on interior finishes, fixtures, choice of siding, insulation type, etc.
But to build a shell should be around $10/s.f. in materials or $3900.00 Includes roofing material. Then add siding, again depends but figure $ 1.00/sf of wall on the low end, in your case about $800. Insulation, fancy spray foam hired out around $2.00/sf of wall/ceiling area, in your case about $2400.00. Or the pink stuff DIY for around .60/sf or in your case about $700.00 So we're up to $5400.00 for a DIY shell dried-in, assuming free windows/door, low-end siding, and fiberglass insulation. Interior finishes and fixtures can vary widely, even more so than the other stuff.
I would use $40-50 per s.f. for a finished price...that being said, there is a nice 16x28 cabin with porch completely finished inside and out for sale at Wood-Tex in Himrod, NY as a display model for $21,600 including delivery within 100 miles or around $50/sf. Just add your foundation (piers) probably 12 for this size building, around here hired out they would be $120/each = 1440.00. If I could "get away" with a 448 s.f. cabin I would buy this one in a heartbeat. I don't think I could beat the price doing it myself.
