Greeting to All. I am a new member from the Great State of Nebraska. I have been building a my cabin for nearly 10 years now.

It has been an Awesome ride............I don't know what I would do if I wasn't adding or sometimes subtracting from my lifetime project
.
Each year I pick off a task to be completed as I have pretty much paid as I went.

My next task is a septic system. Does anyone have any cost effective ideas on this topic.

Thanks in advance.............

There has been a lot of discussion about septic and various forms of waste treatment. I'm going to be using a grey water dispersion pit, just a pit lined with large boulders to disperse grey water over a fairly large area, combined with a seperate septic tank made from a 200 gallon metal tank I fitted with drop tubes and baffles.

Do you have any pictures or a layout of this system.

It sure would help.

Check out this small septic system thread - it has an external link on how to construct one.
Hope this helps.
