Never did post our to-do list. We were at the point of hating the to-do list. Our list was long. We completed most everything with the ultimate goal of occupancy. Fingers crossed that should happen this week.
Left to do yet: - new gangway to dock (lost in flood) - paint storage shed to match cabin - plant some trees/shrubs - move in some beds!

"a shower house" with solar panels ontop, and maybe a water heater too. It's on a 27degree south-facing slope, will open to the forest so you can shower outdoors, but doors close in the winter so it can be heated.

For next winter I needed to replace the acrylic cover on the rear porch (busted it knocking snow off) enlarge interior wood storage area in main shed and enlarge covered outside wood storage and equipment area, get better cooler, reduce wood rounds from 16 inch to 12 inch (spent too much time with windows opened from over heating) all have been completed so now I just set back and enjoy.

With five months left in the year, I've really got a lot done already, but here's the short list:
1. Outdoor shower 2. Shooting bench 3. Create and then pave some walkways with the CList free bricks 4. Insulate the loft in the "shed mahal" 5. Install the hardwood floor on the first floor of the same shed

My list for the rest of the sundays before snow fly..
Got my stumps and large rocks out of the approx 200 ft road I cut in, dug all the top soil out with my loader bucket and rough graded it out. Can get in now with a truck but now need gravel base and grading, thats first in order on the list.
Second, dig up all the pine and hemlock stumps in the approx 50x80 clearing I cut at the end of the road and do some leveling.
Third, get all the logs I cut into 8, 12 and 16 foot lengths into one pile.
Fourth, burn the remainder of the tree tops and brush from clearing.
Fifth, sit down and stare at my pile of logs and decide if thats going to be my cabin or not......
Its slow goin folks, ahhhrrrrrrgggg...
