I have two Cabins in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
One on the Tahqhaumenon River. It was disassembled 6 miles up river and floated to its way off grid location. The other cabin was my first hunting cabin on the Sheldrake River. Wish I could figure out how to live up there.

20 acres of the most beautiful land in Upstate NY.

Town of Granger population around 400 people. To get to Granger go to the middle of nowhere and then go five miles passed that.

My land has two ponds one of which my pet bass live in. Land is lousy with ruffle grouse. These birds perfectly blend into the background and almost let you step on them and then they pop up. Scares the crap out of you.

Hey everybody....long time no see or talk with! For those who have no idea who I am, my wife and I built a little cottage 2 years ago to move into for our retirement. WE ABSOLUTELY love it here!

We could do with a little less snow and few below zero days, but other than that, we moved to HEAVEN!

I hope everybody is doing well and staying warm.

Tim,
You have been gone too long. You can at least voice an opinion once and a while.

Missed this thread last year when I joined. 40 acres in northeast Ohio, Ashtabula County, just down the road from Pymatuning Lake.

Tim, what part of NE Ohio? I can't be far from you.

I don't have a cabin yet, I'm working on it

Oh ok Tim. You are actually a little closer to my home just across the border in western PA. That's a nice area, I used to own a farm just south of you in Guernsey County near Cambridge.

I did a quick review of this entire thread, and found only one other poster in California, Buggy, in Mendocino.

Ca has 20% of US population, but seems to be underrepresented in the area of cabin building. Mine is near Lassen National Park in the northern Sierra.

Majority of posters are from east of the Mississippi from Alabama to Maine, with Canada well represented, and a good number from the Rockies to Az/NM, a few Oregon/Wash.

Cabinbuilder- can you sort the member list by location and give us a list by number of members per state/province? Only if its easy to do...

Any other Californians?

The problem is that many users don't specify their location, and if they do it is not formalized. For example, "United States of America" and "Michigan" are seen as separate locations.

Anyway, here is the list, 552 distinct locations (attached PDF),
with site visitors' geo details on USA and Canada (darker area means more members).

That's cool you could come with that so easily, thanks.

Looks like CA is quite well represented, surprised portions of the south east appear not to be.

Thanks again, C- builder.

We share Wolfe Island, Ontario with 2000 others during the summer but it sure gets quiet at night when the ferry stops running.
