Had to return to the city for appointments, don’t have one with me. But I already splurged 15 bucks for a new carb. It, and all the ones on YouTube appear to just screw on. I’ll give it another try and take a photo tomorrow.

Sawsall. I bolted the old carb back on and gave it a two handed channel lock grunt. Finally moved. Don’t if it’s locking goop or just corrosion but it’s apart and I don’t have to worry about a new cable. So far. Now just waiting for the new carb. I did see on you tube where guys were drilling out those float bowl screws to get in there.

Use some anti-seize on the new one

New Tao 110 carb arrived yesterday, just put it on, fired right up. Test rode around the cabin still with plastic bodywork hangin and a car battery strapped on.

Being a kid mobile it has a throttle limiter on the handlebar, which was easy enough to bypass. It’s also an automatic one speed with centrifugal clutch. Turning radius is terrible, no reverse. And I mentioned the other day I couldn’t get it to turn over. Finally read a manual, won’t spin over unless the brake lever is pulled. Wasted some time farting with that..

I’m curious if that little thing will climb my driveway, have to get it all assembled first. Then call the widow up and see what her plans are, again no idea if it’s still wanted.

Happy to see it was an easy, and cheap, fix!

Yep 15 for a carb and 10 for the ignition switch. One good thing about Chinese stuff..
