Year three of the family gathering at the cabin. We got some rain but turned out pretty good for the most part.

That looks like a great view. How do those pvc gutters work in winter? Or are they seasonal?

The gutters are temporary/permanent. Made from sdr 35 sewer pipe that I cut in half. They work ok but I really need to replace them

I doubt they'd last at our place with the snow slides off the metal roofing.

Snow sliding off the would be by concern. I'm really wanting to put a gutter on our cabin, it would really help with water management but also have a metal roof.

Same for me.
Considering the way the snow slides, that it doesnt just come to the edge and fall, Im thinking that if the gutter hangs lower from the edge than normal the snow slide will project out from it?

I only have gutters on the low pitched porch roof. I am not sure they would last on the steep part with the snow.
