My black rat snake came out from under the engine of the backhoe when the tech started it. "Why is my new home shaking?" They wanted to kill it. I said don't you dare hurt that snake. He slithered out the other side and up the hill. They eat mice, mice that can carry Hantavirus which is a hemorrhagic fever. (think Ebola)
Mice also chew up your wiring in your machines. I saw one, a brown mouse, chewing up the wire loom on the side of the Yanmar Tractor. How the heck does a mouse get that high? Can they climb the rubber on your tire? Can they jump 2 feet?
I looked up black rat snake on google and it said they are a very docile snake and often kept as pets. I need to think of a name for him.

Knew a guy that named his dog Hubcap. I like single syllable critter names so Id probably go for Snake.

$7000.00 later... Removed the battery equalizer/fire hazard that was on top of the battery compartment, installed 12V glow plugs, starter, alternator, two batteries connected in parallel, and battery disconnect switch for security and preventing any parasitic draw. We think the equalizer was the problem killing the batteries.
