Hey Folks,
I have this 16x20 woodshed and I want to turn half of it into a sauna/changing room, the other half just stays woodshed for sauna and house needs. Floor is cracked, looking for some feedback as to what to do to address water and drainage. Foundation is likely to continue to sag, it's clay soil in Upper Michigan. Image inside is the sauna space to be, 8x8 or so. Thanks, Screenshot_2022030.png

Lay 2x4 PT floor joists down then PT plywood over it. You dont really want to be standing on a cold concrete floor anyway right?
You could even do deck floor boards and not plywood

Heck some indoor outdoor carpet and an old barrel stove with a chicken wire basket of rocks on it. A couple of benches and a pretty lady, maybe a cold beverage or whiskey. And start to sweating it up. We had a really nice sauna at one time. Beautiful wife wasn't into getting into a hot box n sweating. And hanging out with the guys is ok but, ya well. It eventually got used as a hog shed. Starting out as an ice fishing shack. Duel purpose the darn thing

Doesnt have to be any fancier than an Indian sweat lodge , but the fancy ones get all the pics and press. Maybe start out with the basics, learn some things, use it a season or two Then modify when you know what you really want?

Fancy isn’t a goal, function is…just wanted to drain away water as it will see plenty of use. AK, you most be a sourdough! 😂 pond liner into a drain was a thought
