I'm wondering if anybody has used the l5 before and knows whether or not it has a regulator? Basically I want to know if I turn off the water output on the shower head, can I keep everything on or would that be dangerous? Wasn't sure if I had to turn the propane on and off each time as well as the water on both ends...

when your water flow stops, the unit will shut down the burner as a safety function.
I have an L10, but same deal. We have an on/off switch on the shower head. We run water until its warm as the water in the line after the unit will be cold, wet down and shut the water off.
Soap up good and then turn it back on. You will get a hot slug of water from the water that sat in the burner for a bit. Be ready for it as it can be a bit warm, but then we rinse off good.
Works great, saves on propane, electricity and water, but not quite as nice as a full on shower at home.

Perfect thanks for that. Didn't want to have any propane issues. Cool unit, really loving the hot water showers!

Likely you already know this but make sure you drain it really well before any chance of freezing temperatures. I’ve lost two of them over the years by assuming I’ll be back at the cabin before any frost - I was wrong. It does not take much below freezing for the coils to burst. In the fall I know try to remember to drain it every time I leave in the fall even if there doesn’t look like a frost coming.
