SWL, have you considered an electric chainsaw for your small-jobs? With mine (bought used cheap) running off my little Champ(ion) inverter gen I have a relatively quiet, light-weight, easy to live with saw that is my general go-to now. I see the corded ones like mine often for sale pretty cheap, and no expensive battery packs!

Dont overlook loading around the stump with charcoal briquets and some lighter fluid, get those briquettes going and roast some hot dogs and smores to boot.

Thanks for the recommendation. I’m clearing a variety of areas on our property. I need to use a gas chainsaw. I’ll probably be working on our road for the rest of my life.
