What is the average labor cost to build a 16x24 shell cabin?

Too general a question and there is no 'average' for custom built.
For a 'baseline' look at what a (very local to your intended location) garage of similar size would cost to build. For stickbuilt if should be fairly close.

with today's lumber and labor prices, and figuring just the cost to set the foundation and build a shell with doors and windows and a roof...
$85/Sq ft for materials = 32,640
Labor is more often than not equal to the material cost.
I'm guessing around $65K.
I built a 22x24 cabin in 2016 for 27K in materials. The decks with trex decks cost 12k in addition to the shell cost. The labor was my dad and I.
We paid $7 for 7/16 OSB where today it around $20.
A 2x4 was $2. Today it's around $7. That's a 60% difference from today than 4 years ago. Crazy.
That adds up quickly.

it really depends where you are, and what labor costs/availability is like. if you are super far out, you might have a really hard time finding someone who will come work for a reasonable price. Often times, if you aren't a "local" in those areas, your labor prices get jacked up.
For example, I was considering finding a contractor to help with my foundation / excavation. Had a hard time getting someone to come out to estimate, finally got a guy who came out and quoted me 20k for a pier foundation, and told me it would take him 2 weeks. Since that was my whole budget, I Ended up doing it myself with a neighbors excavator in two days for $2000 (800 for neighbor/excavator (including new driveway to spot, 800 for materials, 400 for concrete truck).
Sometimes local cabin kit companies have contractors they recommend. Maybe try that approach?
