This week. Holes for the posts were dug yesterday, and tomorrow the project starts. It is a 20x20 pole barn with a plywood floor, and an 8x10 loft.
I am so sad that I can't be out there. I am not feeling well enough to go. I have had a biopsy done and am waiting for results.
I told my husband to take lots of pictures for me to post for all of you.

The floor and the east wall is up! I am receiving text pictures, and my husband is taking lots of pictures with the regular camera for me to post here. He is coming home tomorrow for our son's birthday. Hopefully I can upload the pictures then to show everyone! I am so excited. It's like a dream come true even if I am not there.

It's done!
Before the posts Posts in Floor in Every morning there is fog. One of my favorite things about this place is the fog. Reminds me of those Folgers coffee commercials with the men fishing from decades ago. Check out how thick it is in the second picture. Cabin walls up later in the day after the fog lifted View from the upstairs window This is the last picture that I have. It is completely finished, other than the deck. That will need to go on next year as we ran out of money.
We are headed up today and I will take more pictures to post. I am feeling better and I can't wait to see it. Just like a dream come true.

The scenery and the fog remind me of my place in Tioga County, a few counties east of you. Wish I was there right now.

Thank you everyone. Happy news - tumor is benign!!!! I still will need to get it out.
My husband and I made the plans our selves, and hired the Amish to put it up for us with my husband's help.

Congratulations on your health and the cabin. Your cabin and land are wonderful. I love the style, the wood siding, and I'm certain that if Amish were involved that the quality is top notch. Those guys are excellent builders. I really like everything about your cabin. Refresh my memory on cabin size and acreage. Well done!!!

We have almost eleven acres, and the cabin is 20x20 with a 10x10 loft. We were going to go with an 8x10 loft but changed our minds. We were worried that we'd feel closed in under the loft, but under the loft are 8 feet ceilings.
Here are some more pictures

Looks great!! How can the loft be a 10x10 when the cabin is 20x20 and the loft is full width?
Confused

We have a full loft in our 10 x 16 and don't feel closed in, even with 7 ft ceilings. Partly because of having 5 windows.

Looks amazing! We have almost 11 acres as well but that's where the comparison stops. Your cabin is spectacular, ours is is a closet. LOL
Enjoy!

It's hard to enjoy it now with the cold weather. We stayed there two weeks ago and froze our butts off. Even with a portable heater. I think it went down to 34 degrees that night. We insulated since then and have the wood stove there. We just have to save the money for the stove pipes. Those pipes cost more than the used stove itself!
