Looks good. We collect rainwater into a 1500 gal underground tank. I built a filter for the rainwater using a new 5 gal bucket, rocks, pantyhose filter and no-see-um mesh filter.

Hey Dekagoldwingers I may decide to build a filter and a first flush diverter. But Im hoping that I wont need them. Our roof is steel and we have no overhanging trees, so the contamination is minimal. Do you drink from your system?

I collect rainwater off a 220 sq ft roof and use a first flush diverter. I wouldn't be without the diverter, now that I see all the junk that's in it that would have gone into the tank. I don't drink the water, but was considering using a Berkey type filter for drinking water. IMO, after-the-fact filtration will just pull the particulates but not the bacteria that were growing on the particulates. I guess it depends on the filter. Filters have to be maintained, so do diverters, so I guess it's just a question of what you want to maintain
